Chart Girl: A Holiday Commission (part 1)

Last week, I was contacted by a new friend made through Thom Trahan (of Brimstone Museum fame) to do a commission for a co-worker. This co-worker apparently has some real skill at putting presentations and charts together on the fly, and my new friend wanted me to do a chariacature of her as a super-heroine...Chart Girl!  He provided me with a photo of the real "chart girl" to work from. I started the project last night so I wanted to share the progress with you. I'll be inking and coloring this piece (digital color), all for the price of $50. Eventually you'll see that Chart Girl is dressed in a blue and gold uniform (their company colors), has a pie chart belt buckle, a bar graph chest emblem and a laser pointer for a weapon. Also, her flight lines will be made up of a multi-colored bar graph. It should be a really fun looking little piece. My deadline is this Friday, so I'll be posting further steps as they develop throughout the week. I hope you'll follow along.

Hahaha, it's amazing what one little contact can do. Also, this looks great so far. She and Tax Max should go out for drinks sometime.
